A stylish pair of mid-century modern armchairs by Pieff of Worcester, these date to late 1970s, early 80s. A very nice pair in excellent condition, the leather is a dark reddish brown colour and sit of heavy form chrome bases. The Chrome is very high quality and has a fantastic lustre and depth to it.
An unusual design with a one piece cushion that folds back to create a very comfortable seating position. The seats are angled back which make them very comfy. The bases are very heavy, making them very sturdy and unlike modern chairs these don’t slide around when sitting down into them. The seat Height is 43cm / 17″.
As with all Pieff furniture, they were made to last with high quality chrome bases and the very best leather. These are a rare design from Pieff and not commonly seen, Established in Worcester, England, Pieff became one of the leading furniture suppliers to the BBC in the 1970s with many of their pieces appearing in famous chat shows of that period.
In excellent original condition, some age related wear to the leather but no rips of tears.
