Large 6ft Heavy Form Rustic Coffee Table made from Burmese Teak

A large chunky Burmese teak coffee table of distinct character. Burmese teak has a rich dark quality that is extremely difficult to mimic, the colour and tone of this piece is superb with the deep rich tone of the frame contrasting with the lighter tones of the inset panels. The piece has rustic charm and provides a bold statement piece.
This is a wonderful piece of authentic Burmese Teak furniture with a genuine history, a one off characterful piece that is a rare find given its origin and the history of this region of the World.
Origin: The table was commissioned in Burma and made from old Burmese teak timber. Skilfully crafted, the piece is heavy and solid in construction with mortice joints. The piece was brought back to the UK by its then owner who re-located to the UK when the troubles in the Capital Myanmar reignited in 2017.
