A striking large pair of cast iron garden urn planters in the Victorian Rococo manner, offering bold decorative presence and a beautifully aged surface. Rich in scrollwork and ornamental detail, these impressive urns stand at over 2ft high (26 inches), giving them real presence whether placed outdoors in the garden or used indoors as statement decorative pieces.

Each planter has developed a great natural rust patina, giving the pair real depth, texture and visual warmth. The weathered cast iron surface enhances the ornate Rococo-inspired form and lends them the sort of character that works especially well in both traditional garden settings and more curated interior schemes.

Though not original Victorian examples, these are very good quality late 20th-century replicas, faithfully made in the spirit of 19th-century garden design. Their decorative casting and naturally weathered finish give them a unique look and feel, while the closely matched patina across both urns is a particularly appealing feature that can be difficult to find. Together, they provide a practical and highly attractive option for both traditional and contemporary settings.

Ideal for framing an entrance, terrace, orangery or conservatory, this impressive pair can be planted up seasonally or left unfilled as sculptural ornaments in their own right. Their mellow rusted finish and generous scale make them especially effective for adding structure, age and atmosphere to both interior and exterior spaces.

These planters are free standing and heavy, as expected with cast iron pieces of this scale. They are suitable for external use or can be used indoors where a strong decorative statement is desired. If placing internally, appropriate floor protection may be advisable depending on the surface and intended use.
