A superb little Aesthetic Movement Writing Desk is black mahogany ebonised finish with it original red leather inset top.

This piece contains so many wonderful detailing, the inset leather top features a gilt Greek Key border followed by a further black geometric border.  Reeded detailing to the drawer fronts which feature beautiful squared brass handles.  Reed detail follows to the rounded side motifs which gives this piece its authenticity and Anglo-Japanese influence of the period.

Heavy patterned tuned legs are joined by a central stretcher, and original castors.

A well made piece, in mahogany with delicate dovetailed joints to the drawers.  A wonderful decorative piece and a superb interior design piece that could be used in a hallway, bedroom or living room setting.  In excellent sound condition, with some age related wear to the ebonised finish and leather top.  The item is clean and ready for installation.
